USPS postage rates are going up...again!
On May 30, 2025, the Postal Regulatory Commission approved the latest rate case from the United States Postal Service, with increases set to take effect July 13.
While the average increase for Marketing Mail is 7.4%, some categories are seeing much steeper jumps:
- SCF Letters are rising 11.6%
- The NDC Discount is being eliminated entirely
- Mail previously entered at NDCs and shifted to origin entry will see a staggering 15.6% increase—about $0.05 more per piece
Cumulative postage increases since 2021 have already reached 36% for Marketing Mail, and this latest hike only adds pressure.
At American Litho, we’ve anticipated this shift—and we’re ready.
-
Can eliminate up to 100% of the new NDC related postage and processing impact
- Retain or improve delivery timelines
- In some cases, reduce overall postage costs, even with the July hike
Our proprietary postal optimization modeling evaluates your current mailing strategy and identifies the most cost-effective paths to entry. It’s not just a workaround—it’s a competitive edge.
Postage is often the single largest cost in a direct mail campaign—sometimes as much as 60%. That’s why strategic entry and presort optimization are critical.
