What SOC 2 Type 2 Means
SOC 2 is a reporting framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for evaluating controls at service organizations.
The SOC 2 Type 2 audit reviews whether relevant controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively throughout a specified period. The process is conducted by an independent CPA firm and results in a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation report.
For American Litho customers, this independent review provides added assurance regarding the processes and controls supporting the protection and responsible management of their information.
Why an Annual Review Matters
Security threats, technology and customer expectations continue to evolve. Maintaining effective data-security practices requires more than establishing policies and reviewing them once.
American Litho completes the SOC 2 Type 2 audit process annually. This recurring independent review supports our continuing commitment to:
- Evaluating the effectiveness of relevant controls
- Identifying opportunities for continued improvement
- Maintaining disciplined data-handling practices
- Responding to evolving information-security risks
- Providing customers with independent assurance
This annual process is an important part of how American Litho holds itself accountable and continues strengthening its approach to information security.
Protecting the Data Behind Direct Mail
Effective direct mail increasingly depends on sophisticated data. Mailing addresses, customer histories, audience segments, purchasing behaviors and campaign-response information can all help marketers reach the right people with more relevant offers.
That opportunity also carries significant responsibility.
American Litho combines mailing data management, data analytics, printing, personalization and mailing within one integrated operation. Throughout that process, protecting customer information remains a company-wide priority.
Our customers trust us with information that is important to their businesses and their customers. We do not take that trust for granted.
A Continuing Commitment to Customer Trust
Completing another annual SOC 2 Type 2 audit reflects American Litho’s sustained commitment to protecting customer information and continually evaluating the systems and controls supporting our work.
Data security is not simply a milestone we achieve. It is a responsibility we renew every year.
