Job Title: Sheetfed Pressroom Manager

Job Description

Coordinate the production team, flow of work, and production of printed marketing materials, direct mail and collateral projects. Serve as the primary liaison with outside vendors.

 

Responsibilities
Ideal candidate is responsible for production costs, quality, inventory control, shipping, receiving and staffing

Responsible for the managing of Sheetfed print production

Working with external vendors and communicating with internal and external clients

Determining cost efficient production methods and developing process improvements

Production scheduling, controlling costs

Insuring product quality

 

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in one of the following: as a plant manager, plant coordinator/operations manager in a print/publishing environment

Must have a detailed working knowledge of commercial printing operations, along with an understanding of web, digital, lithography, high-end color and fulfillment

Knowledge of standard mail pieces, USPS packaging and business mail entry requirements and experienced in the approval process, for First Class, Standard Mail and Non-Profit Mail

Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills of managing a team

Excellent skills in short and long term planning for labor, materials, equipment capacities, and overall facility capacities

Strong leadership skills, dedication to building a strong team

First-rate communication and organizational skills, detailed oriented

Ability to work within a fast paced environment, and be committed to servicing clients

Proven ability to oversee plant operations, maintenance, policies, procedures & production goals

Technically proficient all areas of print production, including; bindery, stitching and inserting equipment

Background in safety and ability to understand all requirements

Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is a plus
